Before I became a Christian, I thought I was already a Christian. I did everything a Christian should do. what I mean by this, is I went to Church, payed my tithes, helping others, never went to a disco, never did drugs or drank alcohol. It was always church, home and work.
One day the ladies of our church went to a conference and I was also invited. It was awesome to see all God's children gather together, but as I said I was not a Christian at that time.The Worship session was great. I could feel the presence of God.
What happened that day a drama out of the book of (Matthew 25:1-13) was acted out, and what happened really made me go on my knees. One of 5 foolish girls thought she was okay because, she was like me, doing good always helping where she can, going to church. And what happened I went with the other foolish girls to put oil in their lamps, and when they came back the Bridegroom came and they were too late to enter into Heaven. And I thought to myself, firstly that all my good works are like filthy rags in the sight of God, and secondly if I am not ready when God comes I will spend eternity in Hell. And that really made me afraid of Hell, and right there I decided to give my all to God.
Today I am Saved, washed in the Blood of the Lamb and happy to say it’s been 23 years since I became a Christian now! I am serving God with my Husband and two teenage children.
